Refugee children deserve our help
To offer a refuge to the 3000 refugee children who were originally given hope of a new life in Britain under the Dubs scheme.
Why is this important?
Unaccompanied refugee children in Europe are alone and afraid. They are cold and hungry and at the mercy of traffickers. They were offered the hope of a refuge in Britain but Amber Rudd in the government has decided to put an end to the prospect of their finding a safe home in Britain even though the Dubs agreement specified that 3000 children would be helped. So far only 300 children have been accepted. This is a cruel blow to the hopes of the rest of these children which has been condemned by MPs from all parties and by Religious leaders of all faiths.
We beseech Amber Rudd to show British values of fairness, decency and tolerance and allow a safe passage to Britain for all these very vulnerable children.
