Great to see us get over 250! Please keep publicising it and getting your friends and families to sign it. Still no response from the Council or Stagecoach or any local politicians. Linda Dorward did say she had had others asking her to help and would bring the matter up with Stagecoach. No response so far. I am told they may be breaking the law by not providing safe transport after 8 for disabled and elderly people. For sure they are putting women at risk who are walking home from work and social and leisure activities of all kinds. It is an utter disgrace. Please get more signatures of you can !

That's us over 200. Keep sharing it if you can. The more we get the more they will realise how unhappy we are with the provision of evening buses and the harm they are doing to people's social, working and family lives. I will send a letter to local papers with info about the petition in it. Please feel free to publicise it any way you like. It's not mine! Print it off if you like if people are not online or find it hard to find or use. Or fill it in for them.
When we get enough as I say I will print it off and hand it in and get local press to witness it, better than just sending it in online Probably in a month or mid August before schools return, less impact when people on holiday and don't want it to be swallowed up by the campaign against the cancellation of the buses to Edinburgh which will obviously be much bigger and is more urgent as they plan to stop them in mid August, gobsmacking though that is.

I see there is an article in the Courier today on the disgraceful axing of buses next month from Dumfries to Edinburgh and Dumfries to Castle Douglas. Our petition also gets a mention much to my surprise so hopefully we will get more signatures. Please share it with friends also on any social media. Once we have enough and it looks like we won't get any more I will organise an event to hand it in to Stagecoach and the Council. Probably that will be in August once the trades holidays are past.

I note that they have now decided to remove all services to Edinburgh from mid August after Swestrans removed support. So I expect another petition will be put together.
