Reopen Eastleigh High Street and Market Street
Since the Temporary Road Closure due to COVID-19, many people, including some small businesses, have struggled to enjoy the Town Centre, as the restrictions have meant shoppers have to walk a considerable distance to get in, which puts some people off.
There is a campaign to extend the Temporary closure order while Eaatleigh representatives of HCC undertake a consultation of residents. The undersigned people want to see the Road reopened, to allow the town to recover from covid-19

Why is this important?
Keeping the roads closed does have its drawbacks, from a mental standpoint (I.e. the roads were closed due to covid, and so a "covid hangover" continues). Reopening them allows the Town to see what a post-Covid life would be like, and would also allow disabled people to regain access to the town while the consultation is ongoing
