Repay illegal parking fines
Repay thousands of motorists who have been wrongly issued with parking tickets by PCSOs. In refusing to offer refunds, W.Y. Police stated that motorists should have objected to these fines when issued. If the Police did not realise these fines were illegal, how do they expect ordinary citizens to know this?
Why is this important?
Police are supposed to uphold the law, not make it up as they go along. Decisions such as this undermine the confidence and respect the public have in the police Force.
