As suspected this the latest 'government' is gleefully embracing an ever more restrictive definition as to whom is eligible for Warm Home Discount. The buzz word is 'targeting' ~ protection for the supposedly separate tax payer ~ we are all ordinary humans but are increasingly being divided into sheep and goats; now it's all to do with whether you 'previously qualified' for rigged 'entitlement.' Many previously 'deserving' people are being systematically airbrushed by this regime, consigned by tick box 'expendable.'

Personally, I think that basic social tariffs whereby everyone has enough kWhr to cook a meal and have a bath should have been implemented by now and immediately should be brought in. It's certainly cold in here but even colder out there.

Those requiring to tropically heat their mansions (above and beyond) so as to be able to continue to cavort in their negligibles can then enjoy paying the full cost of their antisocial and anti-planet behaviours…

How many of us, particularly, can wait until 2025 for extra funding to insulate our homes and for the regime to STOP wasting money on wrong / lost causes...

As you will see this petition was started ~ 5 years ago! Thank you kindly to all supporters.

Events just go to show that things can only get worse. For my part I have just been advised by my new utility 'saviour' (the old one went bust) that things "are ran differently this year" (sic) It seems the 'government' is now to decide the 'award' of rosettes in some kind of political beauty contest as to whom is, or more likely is not, eligible for WHD.

Now more than ever it is time to step up and garner more signatures for this petition. Whilst the sentiment broadcast from on high is that 'we must all now come together' - it is the 'sheep and goats / deserving and undeserving' beloved of the tory tendency for centuries that is actually being enacted. If we are to be a society of humanity and compassion, even for people at 'home' in this country this nasty ideology must be opposed. Thank you.
