Reverse your decision to stop accepting Derbyshire Wayfarer tickets

As of 4th April 2016 High Peak Buses stopped accepting the Derbyshire Wayfarer ticket on the TransPeak service between Derby, Matlock and Buxton (except on Sundays) and on its other commercially operated routes (the ticket is, however, still valid on services run by this operator under contract to Derbyshire County Council). We call on the company to reverse this decision.

Why is this important?

For many years the Derbyshire Wayfarer has been a popular and convenient way of exploring the county by bus and train, and is vital for sustainable tourism. The TransPeak route is a useful link between the major tourist centres of Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. Withdrawing certain bus routes from the scheme makes the ticket less attractive, and passengers are likely to be confused if the ticket is valid on some buses but not others on the same route.
