Safeguard Protest

Bust of prison reformer
Abolish the proscription of non-terrorist organisations.

Why is this important?

Direct action is one method by which protestors can draw attention to injustice. In some circumstances, protestors' consciences will persuade them to cause criminal damage to property in order to avert a greater wrong. However, if they do not cause harm to other people or intend to do so, they cannot and should not be classified as terrorists. Above all, they should not be proscribed,, as this would prevent them from exposing the injustice which concerns them. The freedom to do this is the bedrock of a democracy.
