Save Achievement Bute

Update 24/3/15: Today we can announce that Achievement Bute has been saved! Argyll and Bute Council and Achievement Bute have now reached a funding agreement which will support Achievement Bute in developing a sustainable service in the future to support children with special needs, and their families, on Bute.

Argyll and Bute Council need to keep their promise of the FULL funding needed to ensure that the disability support network 'Achievement Bute' can continue

Why is this important?

Achievement Bute provides flexible individually tailored support to enable children with disabilities to participate in leisure activities of their choice and to support parents. They also run a range of inclusive regular clubs - events - holiday play-schemes and trips open to ALL children on the Isle of Bute. They provide a Counselling Service - parent support group - advocacy and an autism mentoring project.

Argyll & Bute Council had originally promised full funding for Achievement Bute, but have since retracted this offer, which will no longer make Achievement Bute financially viable.

How it will be delivered

We are the parents of children who have had fantastic support and guidance that would not otherwise be available. we hope to campaign successfully to ensure that Achievement Bute can continue to do the same for many more families to come.
Our petition will be sent to the Council to back up just how much support there is on Bute for Achievement Bute.
