Dandara Southern Limited have submitted a plan to build 628 homes on Campdown.
It is a nature rich field/meadow. It's one of the last natural habitats in the area.
The council have allowed so many green areas to be destroyed. There are alternative brown field sites which should be used first. We are one of the most nature depleted countries in Europe. If the council carries on there won't be anything left for us to enjoy around here.
Green spaces need to be saved not built on.
The environmental cost will be catastrophic if this goes ahead.

Why is this important?

It's a place local people walk their dogs, exercise and enjoy wildlife. Skylarks, Swifts, Doormice, Kestrels, Deer, Rabbits, Hedgehogs, Lots of Butterflies and Moths..the list is endless.
Also a huge variety of wildflowers, Pyramidal Orchids, Common Spotted Orchids Thistles, Clover, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Water Mint, Oxeye Daisies, Buttercups, Heathers. (Just to name a few!)
It's a green corridor that links to ancient woodland. We have already lost the green space of Forty Acres, so migratory birds might well decide to use Campdown.
These environments are sadly becoming rare and must be protected.

How it will be delivered

I will personally take it to Havant Borough to make sure they receive it.
