Spend on the infrastructure of castleton pool. Enhance facilities in the community to support swimming clubs and users of the pool. Keep our facilities up to date help community groups.
Why is this important?
Teaching swimming, local services need to be enhanced, schools use pool for swimming lessons . Local swimming club has over 100 years of history teaching the local community water safety. Aquabears swimming club teach & coach to olympic standards. Local area has many open water spaces canal fishing lakes rivers.its about safety of community in water . Swimming is good for exercise keeping fit. Young old & disabled members of community use the facility. In Rochdale currently not enough pool availability for younger people and extended travel to other facilities
