Save Corby Urgent Care Centre

Great news, the centre will stay open!

A spokesman for NHS Corby CCG said: “An agreement has been reached between NHS Corby CCG and Lakeside+ Limited to extend the contract to run Corby Urgent Care Centre. “The contract will be subject to an extension from October 1, 2017, that will allow it to continue up to but not beyond March 31, 2019.

We, the residents of Corby and its hinterlands, call on Corby Clinical Commissioning Governing Body to make the decision to keep open the Corby Urgent Care Centre, delivering the same quality of service as was first commissioned under the same specification signed in 2012.

Why is this important?

It is important that the same quality of service is delivered in Corby as has been delivered in the past five years: to ensure that the people of Corby continue to receive first rate emergency care close to home, relieving pressure on Kettering general hospital A&E department and keeping prices for an emergency service down to a manageable level.
