Save Groombridge Place
Accept The Pig Group’s proposal to develop Groombridge Place into a hotel, is the best and most expedient proposal the council is likely to receive. Delaying or refusing, seemingly reasonable, elements of the proposal will make the project unviable and The Pig Group may pull out, leaving Groombridge Place’s future even more uncertain than it was before. Future prospective purchasers, of which there can only be a very few, will be put off by The Pig’s experience in dealing with TWBC Planning Dept.
Why is this important?
The people of Groombridge overwhelmingly support the proposal to turn Groombridge Place into a Pig Hotel. We are excited by the prospect of having such a wonderful venue on our doorstep. We would be relieved that Groombridge Place will be sensitively renovated, improved and cared for into the future. We will extremely disappointed and angry if this opportunity is allowed to slip away due to bureaucracy and lack of vision on the part of TWBC.
