Save Our Greenbelt - Milnrow & Newhey
The Greater Manchester Spatial Framework has approved a draft plan for an extra 225,000 homes to be built in Greater Manchester.
Approximately 13,500 homes and huge areas of additional industrial warehousing is planned for The Rochdale & Oldham Borough and sadly most developments will be on Green belt.
A large proportion of these homes are proposed to be built on green belt sites within Newhey & Milnrow and Shaw with other sites ear marked within the local region.
Whilst we agree that development and homes are required to meet future housing needs, existing brownfield sites should be utilised first and empty homes should be brought back into use, our aim is persuade the councils to re think the strategy of building on green belt.
Your objection will be sent to: [email protected]
