Save QEQM Stroke Service

Save QEQM Stroke Service

There is real risk to life if those having a stroke and stroke patients have to travel from Thanet to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

Why is this important?

These vital life saving services should be provided at QEQM in Margate. Anyone having a stroke needs to act FAST and get to a hospital for treatment as quickly as possible. Ashford is simply too far away. Thanet already has some of the worst stroke outcomes. Life saving stroke treatment should not be cut due to reducing funding in our NHS.

Reasons for signing

  • Ashford to far to go if having a stroke
  • Helping somebody on time is a correct money-saving technique in the long run. Closing vital support is a false economy!
  • The plan is only sound if a new dual carriage way is built from Margate to Ashford before implementation
