Save the King's Lynn Ferry
We call on Norfolk County Council to recognise the importance of the King's Lynn Ferry and fund the essential repairs to the landing stages.

The King’s Lynn Ferry is under threat, with an estimated £1.8m needed for essential works to make the landing stages safe and keep the ferry running.
The borough council has allocated £800,000 to the ferry from the Community Infrastructure Levy – a charge paid by housebuilders when they undertake new developments.
But another £1m is needed from the two local authorities – King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council and Norfolk County Council.
Records show there has been a ferry running between Lynn’s town centre and West Lynn since 1285. The ferry is a vital service, providing a sustainable transport link for residents and tourists and reducing the number of unnecessary car journeys.

The Borough of King's Lynn and West Norfolk has demonstrated its commitment to the ferry crossing by including it in its Masterplan and it is hoped it will fund its share of the works.
This petition calls on Norfolk County Council to commit £500,000 which will be crucial in order to complete these works so the ferry can keep operating for generations to come.
