SAVE THE WEST CHURCH & SPIRE , ARGYLE STREET, ROTHESAY, FROM DEMOLITION

Postpone demolition and concentrate on making the building safe and secure until our local organisation has secured funding for its restoration.

Why is this important?

For anyone who lives in Rothesay or has sailed doon the water, this landmark church has dominated the iconic Rothesay Skyline for 170 years. Designed by the prominent architect of his time, Charles Wilson and housing many memorials to Brandanes this building is not only an important part of Rothesay's architectural history but also its social history.

How it will be delivered

The petition has gained great support locally and will be emailed to Argyll & Bute council.

Thank you all for your support so far. Local interest is growing with our paper petition at 210 signatures. We have decided to hand in an interim petition to Argyll & Bute Council but will keep it running both online and locally.
