Saving Bath's Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases

Dear Minister, Create a new Bath Hospitals Trust that will allow RNHRD to merge with Royal United Hospital but retaining its mission, research and brand, functioning in its historic buildings.

Why is this important?

Because patients from all over the country who suffer with rare and complex rheumatological conditions rely on the unique reservoir of knowledge, skills and practice which only this hospital offers. The ambiance of the historic hospital buildings in the centre of the city of Bath creates a family atmosphere for both staff and patients from which both benefit. It is also part of Bath's special heritage and has an important place in medical history. This is all clearly affirmed by the latest CQC inspections showing that the country's smallest Foundation Trust operates an excellent service for patients. For more details:

Reasons for signing

  • People need this service, simple as that!!
  • Important centre of excellence and it would be tragic if it was lost
  • because there are so many people like my friend's daughter who can get the kind of specialist help she needs nowhere else.
