Scottish Football Needs Its Fans Back
Allow Scottish football fans to return to watching the game that they love & which plays such a positive part in so many people's lives. Trust clubs to implement agreed protocols, & trust fans to adhere to those protocols so as football can once again be enjoyed in a safe manner. Scottish Football Needs Its Fans Back!
Why is this important?
Please recognise the part that football plays in the general well-being & positivity of communities across Scotland. Please recognise that football is played outside, where it is acknowledged that there is very little risk of virus transmission. Especially at youth, welfare, Junior, Highland & Lowland, West, South & East of Scotland league levels, crowds are rarely large enough that distancing presents any kind of issue, & even at higher levels with larger potential crowds, agreed restricted ground capacities will enable safe watching of the national game. Test events to date have demonstrated that fans can be trusted. If people can be together on public transport & on planes, in supermarkets & other shops, in pubs & restaurants, in cinemas & so on, then they can safely be in a public park or a football ground watching football. Please let Scottish football have its fans back!
