Scrap Trident in light of Coronavirus
Scrap plans to replace the Trident nuclear weapons programme and redirect the funds towards social safety nets and public health.
Why is this important?
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is resulting in a huge loss of life around the world with a shrinking of the world economy. The International Monetary Fund predicts that the UK will be one of the top six worst-hit economies. However, the UK Government plans to spend billions on replacing a nuclear weapons programme that it could not possibly consider using without catastrophic consequences for all it's citizens and the world.
