Set legal deadlines for sexual assault investigations

We want the government and the Crown Prosecution Service to introduce clear timeframes for charging decisions in sexual assault cases, improve communication with victims throughout the process, and strengthen protections and support while cases are ongoing.


Why is this important?

I am sharing this because I have seen first-hand how difficult the process can be for victims of sexual assault. The long waiting times, lack of clear communication and limited support can leave people feeling anxious, isolated and unheard.
No one should have to go through something traumatic and then be left waiting months without answers or proper support. This petition is about improving the system so victims feel protected, informed and supported throughout.
