Spread Awareness of Rural Homelessness

The UK Government needs to acknowledge that the needs of the homeless in our rural countryside are different from those in our towns and cities.

We need two clear separate agendas, with individuals targets and funding banks. Rural homelessness is as pressing as it is in our cities, with figures on the rise and an estimated 62% of all single homeless people hidden from official statistics.

Why is this important?

Rural homelessness has doubled in the last 2 years and the sharp increase is now greater than in our towns and cities

More investment and publicity is needed for rural housing services to reduce these growing figures.
