To: Cornwall Council
St Austell Railway Station
We, the undersigned, demand that:
after years of neglect, by Network Rail, of the Grade II listed 1882 railway footbridge, and the signal box, at St Austell Railway Station, and even a refusal by Historic England to de-list the footbridge, Cornwall Council execute its statutory duty to enforce preservation, by way of enforcement notices and proceedings, of these structures; the work to be undertaken either by Network Rail or by Cornwall Council, which may then recoup the costs and expenses, in accordance with its statutory rights.

Why is this important?
These Grade II listed structures are in a state of perilous neglect. It is in the public interest that, as listed structures of historical significance, and as local landmarks, they are preserved.
