To: general Medial council and all doctors

Make the warnings of the side effects of prescribed medicines far more transparent

Inform everyone, all ages as to the dangers of most prescribed medicines clearly, that they may take a thoughtful clear decision as what is good or bad for their future health
It is time that doctors advise correctly about the side effects of prescribed drugs, Some are ok, others have a long lasting detrimental effect on our own health, The hidden ingredients are and can be fatal

Why is this important?

A major contributing factor in my brothers death , who was cut down by a massive fatal heart attack
There are so many modern medicines being prescribed and too few people realise what it is they are taking, This must stop. A clear understanding of the after effects should be explained, informing the patient of the choice

How it will be delivered

I shall collect enough signatures with evidence and take to Parliament to have a discussion

Allied to this, we also have the right to full transparency and no cover-ups by the medical profession when things do go wrong.

2. Hydroxychloroquine for my joints caused total loss of sight – thankfully only temporary. The consultant said it may affect my sight but not cause loss of sight. I trusted my own instincts to stop taking them and soon my sight came back.
3. Numerous other allergic reactions from other medication – breathing difficulties, rashes, vomiting, very low blood pressure, bleeding.

I know medications have an info sheet that lists all possible side-effects with percentage risk to cover their arses. I think this is just scary and ‘arse-covering’ and doesn’t actually tell us about possible consequences of these side effects. I think we should be given fuller information sheets by the doctors who prescribe medication, before we pay to get them.

I strongly believe that patients need full and understandable facts so we can give informed consent to our procedures and treatments.

As you may have gathered, I have spinal and joint problems causing disability. I have bad reactions to most medications, but some have been quite serious including:

1. Myodil which is a dye used in Myelograms, a diagnostic procedure, which can cause painful disabling spinal problems. But as it is caused by the medical profession and drug company, they are reluctant to diagnose it.
