Stop privatisation of "NHS Professionals"

Stop privatisation of "NHS Professionals"

Abandon his plans to privatise "NHS Professionals"

Why is this important?

NHS Professionals is a staffing agency run by the NHS. It was set up in 2004 to avoid the high costs of employing nurses from private agencies. These high costs have been much in the news recently, as a major drain on NHS finances. The NHS is short of staff (as a result of government policy) so has to use agency staff, especially nurses. This will get worse now that nursing bursaries have been scrapped, and of course Brexit will prevent EU nurses being recruited.

Reasons for signing

  • NHS privatisation is a waste of money, inefficient & an abrogation of Govt responsibility.
  • I told my MP (Tory) not to privatise the NHS. He said they weren't doing. What a surprise. .... Looks like he lied. Oh well I'll just have to punish him at the next election for being a typically evil member or the Nasty Party.
  • I think there is no doubt now that privatisation of public services rarely works and regularly leads to deteriorating services and/or more expensive services.
