Stop Proposed Solar Farm Development in Pinxton Countryside
Stop Proposed Solar Farm Development of Brookhill Hall Farm. Preserve the last untouched countryside of Pinxton.
Why is this important?
Renewable energy such as solar energy is a MUST - that is not in question. What is in question is where developers choose to place these sites. There is a balance between developing renewable energy sites and protecting countryside, nature and English Heritage. Many local and national campaigns that exist, including this one, challenge developers to think responsibly for the benefit of all.
This Development would provide a prominent alien feature to the countryside of Pinxton and our historical assets. Much work is being carried out on Brookhill Hall to restore the Grade II listed building to its glory. Yet a series of developers want to take over this land. There is more than just this one proposal in the pipeline from what has been found meaning this particular development has the potential to be the largest in the UK.
The harm caused from the landscape character of the site would be considerable. This proposed area is in the original parkland setting of Brookhill Hall, Pinxton's Significant Heritage Asset.
Why not use the rooftops of the industrial units that are building developed at Castlewood park?
