Support For Small LTD Companies During Corona

Please consider all small companies with profits of less than 40K a year for a grant even if they do not have business premisses or pay business rates. This is the livelihood of many of us and our only source of income yet we are not eligible for any of the schemes. Industries have literally been shut down and there is zero income.

Why is this important?

Many small Ltd companies might have to close if grants are not put in place for businesses with minimal overheads, no shop and no business rates, however, are experiencing zero income. These businesses are the only income a person has and once the money is gone, it is gone forever.

It is not about helping the wealthy but the little guy.

Should companies who make less than 40K profit a year but do not pay business rates be forced to cease trading after the pandemic?

Should hard working people who have been building their businesses for years suffer as there is no help for them?

Grants are only being given to companies who are paying business rates and rent on a property such as a shop or venue.

The employed and self-employed are currently being considered for government help, which is great. But what about self-employed people who run small companies or who may also be creating jobs for the self-employed? For example, small agencies like mine.

My agency has been hit really hard with zero income due to the hospitality and entertainment industry being shut down. My insurance only covers basic things like public liability and only loss of earnings due to an accident not a pandemic.

I am sure everyone has their own version of this as we sit in a 'grey area'.

Will the government be sending out relief packs or grants to all small Ltd companies of 40K income or less a year based on their monthly income average?
