Transparency with outcome of Downing St parties enquiry
I, like millions of other law abiding citizens, have followed the government covid rules since March 2020. As a result, I was unable to see my first grandchild when she was born in Surrey. My daughter spent her pregnancy isolated & anxious with very little face to face post natal contact with health professionals. I spent many,many months unable to visit my family who live 300miles away. Many people across the country, tragically, were unable to be with dying family members & they often died alone. The bereaved were not then able to physically comfort each other.
These situations occurred because government rules were followed.
Why is this important?
Millions of people have been adversely affected by the pandemic. The sick & elderly have been isolated & robbed of family contact. The dying passed away alone. So many of us have sacrificed precious once in a lifetime moments because we followed the rules.
The outcome of the Downing St parties enquiry must be made public & consequences must follow if rules are found to have been broken.
