Trophy hunting

Trophy hunting

Groups of people are travelling to the UK to indulge in the appalling activity known as Trophy Hunting. They are hunting and killing animals in Scotland, for example, which are protected in other countries. Trophy hunting is despicable. To kill wild animals to decorate a wall or to use body parts as ornaments should not be tolerated and the government of the UK must outlaw this practice.

Why is this important?

It is important for this to be stopped for the obvious reason that our wildlife must be protected and not destroyed to satisfy the sickening killing for pleasure.

Reasons for signing

  • The Scottish and all UK governments should never allow licences for people to 'trophy hunt'. It is not hunting, just the killing of an innocent animal by someone with a lot of money. We are, at present, trying to save our wildlife and their environment. What pleasure is there in displaying parts of a dead animal? It is killing for killing sake - and then to show off about it? Totally deplorable.
