UK to support Swedish minister's stand against Saudi Arabia's atrocities
We believe the UK government should publicly show support for Margot Wallström, the Swedish foreign minister who has made a stand against the human rights abuses in Saudi Arabia and introduce general sanctions and specifically ban the sales of arms to Saudi Arabia.
Why is this important?
Governments around the world seem to more interested in preserving their economic links in arms and oil trade with them than standing up for the horrific human rights abuses that this country continues to perpetrate.
The world shouts loud about wanting to stop ISIS but according to a US memo leak Saudi donors constituted “the most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide”, so are we in effect supporting ISIS by continuing trade with Saudi Arabia?
