UNPAID CARERS EXCLUDED FROM COVID-19 VACCINE PLAN

To include unpaid carers in the Covid 19 vaccination plan at the same level as paid carers. This is done with the flu vaccine ANUALLY but has been downgraded in the Covid-19 plan.

Why is this important?

In most cases the carer is the patient's lifeline. This includes all care, bathing, washing, hairdresser, cleaner and all round helper. Taking the patient (usually a family member) to the GP's, dentists, clinic or hospital for out-patient appointments. This means mixing with the general public at a time when advice is stay at home. A Carer CANNOT stay at home, not everyone can shop online. A Carer has to go out, there is no alternative.
