URGENT ACTION NEEDED - STOP THE UKRAINE VISA BLOCK!
Enough is enough. Priti Patel has been caught out misleading the House of Commons about visas for Ukrainian refugees. The time has come to bypass the Patel roadblock and echo the actions of the EU and simplify access to visas, including setting up an emergency visa office in Calais with immediate effect..
Why is this important?
People are dying in Ukraine! The exodus of so many, with little food and accommodation and an uncertain future, is made worse by so few having been inoculated against Covid. As a result the risks are increasing by the day. Refusing to keep the promise of access to the supposed 200,000 refugees the UK has agreed to take, making such difficulties allowing people escaping the war into the UK is only going to make matters worse. Having been caught blatantly misleading The House, it is time for the Prime Minister to step in and take control to ensure the Government, on behalf of the British people, keep our promise.
