Urgent - calling on BP to release all renewable energies research
The Guardian recently reported that BP previously spent billions researching renewable, clean energies, but then decided to abandon this pathway and lock away all that they discovered.
Just as Tesla released certain patents to boost innovation in the electric car sector, so BP have a moral duty to make all the test data uncovered available, so that we can create a greener, better economy, not enslaved to dirty, planet-polluting fuels.

Why is this important?
Our one Earth is slowly being poisoned to death by our thirst for energy. BP should be doing everything in their power to alleviate this situation and help us make progress. The research they have locked away could hold vital clues for future breakthrough discoveries and, at the very least, stop scientists wasting their time by duplicating experiments that have already been attempted. There is absolutely no excuse for BP to avoid disclosure. They are literally murdering innocents through their silence.
The Guardian newspaper has presented credible evidence of their culpability in this matter and I would strongly encourage everyone to read this article:

Why is this urgent? Well, the longer BP keep their knowledge locked-up, the more our planet is choked to death by pollution. A barrel-load of signatures from everyone on this petition mean we can bring real pressure to bear on this corporate behemoth, which would make all our futures much brighter.
