To: All registered electors in UK

VOTE 123

Use your vote to indicate your preferences for one or more candidates in National and Local elections by ranking them 1, 2, 3 instead of using an X.
Your 1 vote is a legitimate vote and should be accepted by the Returning Officer. Your 2 vote indicates your next preference in the event that no candidate achieves 50% of votes cast - especially in marginal constituencies. It will be ignored but is a protest vote for Electoral Reform in UK to change to transferable voting instead of first past the post.

Why is this important?

At the moment many votes are wasted especially in marginal constituencies where a split between similar candidates may allow a minority candidate to win. As many as 50-60 seats may swing randomly to a minority party in the 2015 elections. This may result in a minority Government. UK citizens of all parties deserve a fairer election system.
In principle a losing candidate in a marginal seat might challenge the count and demand that votes be recounted for second preferences. This is unlikely to be allowed but will highlight that First Past the Post is unfair where 3 or more parties are represented.

VOTE 123 is an opportunity for ALL UK electors to register a legal protest vote against our unfair system for UK Parliament and local government elections.

No 123 vote will be wasted - either for your first choice candidate, or as a protest vote.
