vote of no confidence in Derby Labour's administration of Derby City Council

We the undersigned feel the current Labour adminstration of Derby City Council is not fulfilling it's duties sufficiently for the benefit of Derby City residents and council employees alike.
They are making politically motivated decisions which are destroying Derby's culture, heritage and infrastructure; and lack the experience to run the council in a competent, transparent manner.

They are making politically motivated decisions which are destroying Derby's culture, heritage and infrastructure; and lack the experience to run the council in a competent, transparent manner.
Why is this important?
The Labour administration of Derby City Council since 2012 has been a disaster. Two independent audit reports have both criticised the Labour party for their poor leadership, and for councillors involving themselves inappropriately on operational matters. The failed Job Evaluation project alone has led to £1.2m of tax payer's money to be wasted.
The auditors have also noted the Council's finances are poorly run, with no medium term budget plans, lack of reconciliation and it's basic financial controls were not working. The latter two leave the council's finances open to fraud.
Meanwhile, the Labour administration is making Derby residents pay for those mistakes by cutting vital services, closing facilities, increasing council tax and cancelling cultural events across the city.
Instead of putting Derby first, they are using the Council as a protest tool against the national government and to further their own political ambitions. They have tried to blame recent budget decisions on the lack of funding from central government, when actually they have wasted tax payers money through mismanagement of the Council.
It's time for the residents of Derby to put a stop to this destruction, and take back our city. By signing this petition you wish to lodge a vote of no confidence in this administration.
