Wilbury Avenue Rat Run.

There are no speed restriction signs in Wilbury Avenue, or at least not in the section between The Drive and Newtown Road. Many drivers use it as a shortcut, and they drive much too fast, sometimes exceeding 30 mph, let alone 20 mph, the official speed limit. There need to be large road surface signs, signs at the road side, and electronic signs showing motorists their speed.

Why is this important?

Wilbury Avenue is a quiet residential street, with many elderly people, children and pets. Not only is excessive speed a danger, it also destroys the quality of life of the area.
