Ban smoking in children's playgrounds

Impose a ban on smoking in outdoor children's playgrounds. These areas are mostly all enclosed to keep dogs out and children in so it should be a simple matter of putting up no smoking signs and making it an offence to smoke inside the boundary.

Why is this important?

We all know the dangers of smoking but sadly some adults either don't have the sense or care enough and will smoke in the vicinity of their own children and those of other people. Just yesterday an adult smoked next to the slide in an Edinburgh park blowing smoke into my daughter's face and it seems they have the right to do so. It doesn't matter if it is outside, if I can smell it, it is getting into my lungs and the lungs of children.
