The BBC to give equal coverage to all political parties during the 2017 general election campaign

They must take steps to implement a policy to ensure that the voices and policies of all political parties are given equal and unbiased coverage in the run up to the 2017 election.

Any reporters found to be giving false or biased information must be taken off air until after the election

Why is this important?

The BBC has been accused of biased and unbalanced reporting in the past. As this election campaign is incredibly short it is very important that the public are given a fair and balanced view of their choices. The BBC must not allow itself to be used as a tool of propaganda for any party. As a publicly funded organisation it absolutely must not allow itself to have any political bias.
