CCTV and other safety measures in the Royal park, Rhymney

To install CCTV around the Royal park, especially in the children’s play area to help tackle the vandalism and recent physical attack on a young mother that has taken place there in front of her very young children.
Something seriously needs to be done as it’s getting way out of hand, between glass smashed everywhere in the play area, the park being burnt and vandalised, people drinking alcohol and being violent.

Why is this important?

We need to make this a safe place for us, our children and everyone else who wishes to use the park to an advantage and not have to avoid the area because of the above reasons.

This really saddens me that this has occurred in our area. There is no place for this kind of behaviour, absolute animals and action needs to be taken against these vicious people. The area concerned and Jade they are not in my ward, however I will work with the Councillors for that area and Police to ensure justice is done. Also I note there is a petition going around about more patrols and CCTV Provision at the War Memorial Park (Royal Park), I will be taking this up with the Councillors and Police also. I have also private messaged them to see if any assistance I can offer at this time.
