Clearer symbol based labels on packaging for flowers and plants which are toxic to pets.

I would like to see a clear symbol on packaging of flowers like cyclamen, daffodils, lilies, amaryllis and hyacinths, which shows without ambiguity the plants are toxic to pets. e.g. a paw print or cat silhouette crossed out, and more specific instructions on what parts of the plant are toxic.

Why is this important?

Not many people are aware of the dangers of certain house plants and flowers if they have house pets.

Currently it is only in small print on certain varieties and it is not clear enough - perhaps if buying a gift for someone, you would not notice it.

Treatment for suspected lily poisoning in cats is over £600.

A simple symbol could save lives, heartache and could prevent a well meant gift from being a fatal mistake.
