Corby says NO to Trident
I am due to bring this petition to Tom Pursglove’s attention, and hopefully put enough pressure on him to change his vote to NO as a true representation of Corby.
Why is this important?
Last year Tom Pursglove voted FOR the renewal of Trident – a nuclear deterrent programme due to cost at least £205 billion. This money would be enough to improve the NHS, employing 150,000 new nurses, build 3 million affordable homes, install solar panels in every home in the UK or pay the tuition fees for 8 million students.
Since he voted in favour of spending cuts to the welfare system I find it completely shameful that he can take something like this away from his constituents who he knows depends highly on these benefits. Since so much money is due to be invested in Trident, I am asking Tom to listen to Corby and understand where our priorities lie and invest in the community.

How it will be delivered
I am currently trying to arrange a meeting with Tom where I will hand in the petition and discuss his role as our representation - and not one to boost his own agenda.
