Fitment of Vehicle Daytime REAR LIGHTS
Recall all recently manufactured and sold motor vehicles fitted with Front High Intensity Daytime Running Lights and Light -Sensors to ensure that Rear Tail Lights are ALSO activated with Daytime Front Running or Dipped Head Lights.
Why is this important?
Due to shorter daylight hours in Scandinavia, vehicles there have been fitted with Front Daytime Running Lights. These have recently been introduced on all new vehicles sold in the European Union vehicles. Unfortunately, REAR TAIL Lights ARE NOT SIMULTANEOUSLY ACTIVATED! This leads to vehicles being driven in darkness without tail lights, their drivers believing that their tail lights are lit because they see their Front Daytime Running Lights illuminated.
I have recently e-mailed Ms. Dianne Abbott, my constituency MP and the Shadow Home Secretary abotu this matter, but I am still awaiting her response.
