Consider the safety of all cyclists in EDF's proposal to build accommodation for Hinkley workers in Bridgwater along the A39 for their workers. A dedicated path was on EDF's original plan but it has been revised and the one presently with you, the Secretary of State has had that path taken out. Sedgemoor District Council, the Town Council and Somerset County Council have asked for the path to be re-instated.
Why is this important?
If we lose this opportunity we fear that the land will be built on and we will have lost the chance to link safe cycling routes into and through Bridgwater forever.
