Justice for murdered child
We petition you to release all files relating to the sexual assault and murder of 4 year old Joyce Cox which have been consciously hidden from the public since here murder in 1939. The Metropolitan Police made a decision to keep these files hidden until 2040 - no one has ever been charged or convicted. Joyce's family and the British public deserve the chance for the killer to be named.
Why is this important?
The victim deserves justice to be brought against her murderer (no matter who that is). Allowing the Metropolitan Police to hide crucial information prevents this and sets a precedence that protecting a murderer is acceptable. This petition aims to do the right thing by Joyce and her remaining family and looks to prevent such cover ups from being made in the future.
