MOD look after ex service people who are on the streets

Retain one of the estates they are proposing to sell off to the highest bidder, so that it can be used to create an ex military village with safe warm accommodation, messing and medical facilities for those ex service people who are living on the streets, many suffering from illness.

Why is this important?

Today is Remembrance Sunday 2016, we all remember those who have fallen in the service of our country, but what about those who are living through hell?
These ex service people need somewhere safe and warm to get back on their feet, no matter how long it takes. For many, living in a military environment would be like coming home, it would be familiar to them, even though it may not be a proper military camp, the buildings, the layout and the environment would be something they could all identify with.
Yes all of these people volunteered to serve our country and go wherever the MOD decided to send them to do whatever needed to be done, they didn't question it, they just went and did it to the best of their ability. Many came out the other end without problems, but many did have problems when they left the services and now find themselves living a hopeless life, on the streets, cold and vulnerable and only charities to help them, it's high time the Government and MOD faced up to their responsibilities and adhered to the terms of the Military Covenant and looked after their own. Please retain one of your estates and fully fund it for the sake of these unfortunate people.

Morning everyone and first of all thanks for taking the time to sign and share this petition, we are now almost at 25 signatures, it's still early days. This is what we are trying to put a stop to, ex servicemen and women should not find themselves being evicted from squats as they should never find themselves in a squat in the first place: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/homeless-ex-soldier-82-dies-6851677
Please continue to share this far and wide, your help is very much appreciated
Thanks
