National Recognition By the NHS & NICE of the diagnosis For Dissosiative Identity Disorder

To get the Diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder recognised as part of a separate personality disorder illness often resulting in trauma caused by childhood mental, Physical & sexual abuse.

Why is this important?

There is no firm recognition within the majority of the psychiatric establishment within the NHS of the existence of Dissociative identity disorder. Many sufferers are brushed aside & accused of being liars & are often accused of fabricating the symptoms. People with DID need to be recognised & supported within our community.
