Not to support any expenditure on HS2 until rail links to the South West have been secured for the future. At a minimum this would require substantial engineering work at Cowley Bridge, Exeter (washed away again today) and a diversion inland of the Dawlish coast line. Again the South West of Britain has been cut off from the rest of the country.
Why is this important?
These cuts to service cause serious economic damage to the entire region. Many South West businesses rely on rail links to export to London and the rest of the country.
