After months of speculation, in last week's Budget Rachel Reeves opted to cut the tax-free allowance for Cash ISAs from £20,000 to £12,000.
We’re disappointed the Chancellor opted to listen to lobbyists over the electorate however, the initial proposal was to drop the allowance all the way down to £4,000, and an exemption was also made for over 65s, so while this may not be the result we hoped for, it's a clear sign of impact.
