Reopen Middlewich Railway Station in Mid-Cheshire

Build a new railway station at Middlewich Cheshire on the other side of the A54 Middlewich to Holmes Chapel road bridge from where the original station was sited.

New platforms, a ticket office, waiting room/refreshments facilities/ticket machine. Upgrade the track so that passenger trains can use it.

A potential train service can call at Acton Bridge and Greenbank and Middlewich on its way from Liverpool to Birmingham.

A future option could be to electrify the Chester to Manchester Mid-Cheshire Line via Northwich and from where the chord of the Middlewich line leaves west of Northwich Station could also be electrified.

Why is this important?

Middlewich in Cheshire now has a population of some 15,000 residents. Middlewich is probably the largest town in Cheshire WITHOUT A PASSENGER RAILWAY SERVICE. Middlewich is probably THE ONLY TOWN IN CHESHIRE WITHOUT A PASSENGER RAILWAY SERVICE!!!!
