Return to all citizens the inherent, basic and fundamental right to jury hearings and trials.

Return to all citizens the inherent, basic and fundamental right to jury hearings and trials. without favour or grace. From administrative and civil courts to family and criminal courts, the right to a jury for any part of the decision making process, must be made available on request.
This is the remaining obstacle to a truly democratic state that allows for its own citizens to set precedent and justice, whilst judges return to their original roles as arbiters between the prosecution and defence.
I hope you agree with me that this gross inequality must be swiftly redresses whereby a jury hearing or trial is the norm, not the exception.

Why is this important?

Because without the return to all citizens of the inherent, basic and fundamental right to jury hearings and trials, true democracy will simply not exist.

Through no fault of his own, the author of this campaign, Andre Power, has been involved in the most unreal set of circumstances engendered by various local and government agencies' negligence, on a scale you would find hard to believe. So unreal have these scenarios been that he was prompted to write a book; a scathing indictment of our "public" services from police to home office and everyone, in-between and also a forensic critique of the "justice" system, literally from the inside out. It illustrates how the erosion of our rights to a jury is the single greatest obstruction to a true democracy, using personal experiences drawn from over a decade. With a campaign for the right to have jury trials running on 38degrees.org.uk the author seeks to restore the right for all of us to be tried in any civil or criminal court by a jury of our peers rather than a single judge or magistrate if we so request. Please join me in signing this petition to restore our rights to a fair trial!
