Save Beverley and Molescroft Surgery

UPDATE: 19/06/15 - The surgery has been saved. An agreement has been reached with NHS England.

Please work to protect the surgery, the excellent, personal service it provides to its patients. Not to mention the many other surgeries like it providing unique care in rural and urban areas across the Beverley and East Yorkshire area.

Why is this important?

Sited amongst a large residential estate and amongst growing housing estates The Beverley and Molescroft Surgery provides care for wide ranging population in Beverley as well as the outlying villages.
While more homes are being built in the area, the closure of this surgery and all the facilities it offers there will result in a lack of care provision for the new homes, not to mention the lives of the patients whom Drs Clayton and Williams currently effectively care for .
Both doctors have contributed to the NHS provision beyond running the practice and because of the changes within the system their efforts have been reduced. Thus the change in the NHS system is impacting other areas within the town and surrounding areas.

NHS Cuts and Government influence on new policies within the NHS has directly impacted the service the surgery on Lockwood Road is able to offer.

We're pleased to announce that Beverley and Molescroft Surgery has been saved because of your signatures. We do not have all the finer details, other than the confirmation from the surgery staff that the surgery is safe. The surgery is not closing and will continue to provide care to all its patients. Dr Clayton and the staff are very grateful to everyone who signed.
Thank you again.

Thank you for signing. We really appreciate your support. Please know that Dr Clayton does not want to retire. He has no desire to close the surgery, he is doing all he can to keep the doors open. He is being forced out by the funding formula and bureaucracy imposed by the Government represented by our MP. The formula doesn't work and every surgery will have to adjust to these new requirements. Please keep sharing the petition and hopefully we can help save Beverley and Molescroft Surgery.
